“Mother”

Hundreds of stars in the deep blue sky,

Hundreds of shells on the shore together,

Hundreds of birds that go singing by,

Hundreds of birds in the sunny weather,

Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,

Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,

Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,

But only one mother the wide world over.

George Cooper

I inserted the link from last year’s post defining Mother. https://thepileofstickshome.com/2021/05/09/mother/

The following is the beginning of the 2021 post of Mother.

I received a text from my mother stating, “I bought a Mother’s Day gift for my children’s mother.” For all you mothers, buy yourself something special. You deserve it!

May you honor the “Mother” figure in your life or be honored for being that blessed calling. I will be surrounded by my children’s text and voices.

Blessings- Jan

I am a new retiree due to health issues. I am a former educator who in return was a student to the many personalities in my classroom. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I am building one stick at a time in my life as I adjust/accept my current season of being a homemaker.
